I think the man in black is the man on the train in episode one at 3:45 into the show. He’s on the train talking about how he has a wife and a daughter and how they visited once together, and then he came back a second time by himself and went straight evil and that it was the best two weeks of his life. He even sounds like Ed Harris. – Jonathan
